Over a thousand skiers and snowboarders dressed in folk costumes descended Mount Snezhanka in Pamporovo. The traditional event is being held for another year on the occasion of the national holiday.

"This was the biggest ski procession with folk costumes since the beginning of the initiative," said main organiser and initiator Antonia Kamenichka. Nearly 10,000 people gathered at the Studenets Ski Square to watch the parade.

According to hoteliers in Pamporovo, the big ski descent has become a tradition for 3 March. "This is an emblematic event in the spirit of Bulgarian folklore," they said. The initiative started in 2017.

The festive programme continued at Studenets Square to the sounds of patriotic songs and Bulgarian folklore.
