Mariya Gabriel: The fight against domestic violence is a top priority

The fight against domestic violence is a top priority, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariya Gabriel said at the inaugural meeting of the National Council for Prevention and Protection from Domestic Violence, which was held at the Council of Ministers, the press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported. Minister Gabriel chaired today's meeting. In Mariya Gabriel's words, society expects clear solutions and measures to enhance prevention and protection of victims.  

"We need a systematic and consistent policy in the fight against domestic violence, and today we are taking a very important step in that direction", Mariya Gabriel pointed out and added: "The key word of today's meeting was prevention. It is important to outline the steps forward, good proposals and practices in response to the challenges."
