If Vladimir Putin is not stopped in Ukraine, all countries in Eastern Europe will be in danger, Bulgarian Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov and Lithuanian Ingrida Šimonytė  said at a meeting within the framework of the Munich Security Conference.

Nikolay Denkov also said that European countries should work to increase their security and highlighted Bulgaria's efforts to modernize the army and improve defense.

The fight against disinformation and countering Russian propaganda was the main topic of the talks – particularly sensitive in both countries in the context of the upcoming elections for the European Parliament and the ongoing war in Ukraine, the government press service informed.

In Munich, Nikolay Denkov also spoke with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg.
