The government and the Bulgarian Agrarian Chamber signed an agreement on financial support for farmers and the payment of the so-called "Ukrainian aid". The government pledged to change a number of laws and engage in negotiations with the European Commission regarding the conditions of the Green Deal that affect the agricultural sector. A working group is being formed to report on the monthly implementation of the agreements.

The Executive Director of the State Fund Agriculture Georgi Tahov did not name the amounts of subsidies that will be distributed among farmers. Bulgaria’s Minister of Agriculture and Food Kiril Vatev suspected that the ongoing protests calling for his resignation are due to initiated inspections. ''The EU regulation requires all animals to be identifiable with electronic devices. In order to purchase these devices, we need to count the animals, and they accused us of terrorizing them’’, said Minister Vatev.
