President Rumen Radev was a guest to the Alpine Ski World Cup slalom event in the winter resort of Bansko. The ambition is to have another round of the World Cup next year, the head of state said and added that he had an invitation for a meeting with president of the International Olympic Committee, Thomas Bach. The country will declare its ambition to apply for hosting the Winter Youth Olympic Games.

"I think we already have the potential and most importantly we have well-prepared people. I learned from the president of the International Ski Federation that the people here who organize this competition and prepare the slopes are top-level experts. I think Bulgaria deserves to be the center of such a world event and we will work to make this happen," Radev said.
