“Another breakthrough for Bulgarian literature and Bulgarian culture.” That is how the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in London announced the news that the country would be taking part in the London Book Fair, 2024. The fair, in which the country will be taking part for the first time with a stand of its own, alongside the world’s most prestigious publishers, is the second biggest after the book fair in New York.

The stand with Bulgarian literature, with number 2C20, will be made available to the Bulgarian publishers and literary agencies, where they will be able to organize their business meetings and establish contacts, the Bulgarian Cultural Institute says. The stand, where visitors will be able to get acquainted with world-famous contemporary Bulgarian authors, is on the second floor of Olympia London, Kensington, between English PEN and Literary Translation Centre. The programme of the Bulgarian stand will be accompanied by a series of events organized by the Bulgarian Cultural Centre in London.

The stand has its own online space on the website of the London Book Fair, 2024 at Bulgarian National Stand.
