Bulgaria will participate in the international tourism exhibition EMITT in Istanbul

The Ministry of Tourism will present Bulgaria at the international tourism exhibition EMITT (East Mediterranean International Tourism & Travel Exhibition), which will open tomorrow in Istanbul. Traditionally, the forum gathers tens of thousands of tourists and industry professionals.

From the Bulgarian side, ten tour operators, municipalities and professionals in the industry will participate. "The EMITT exhibition is another opportunity for the Bulgarian tourism industry to attract more Turkish tourists to our country," the ministry said. 

According to data obtained by monitoring the flow of tourists at the country's border checkpoints, between January and November 2023, the total number of visits by Turkish tourists was 677,899 - 30% more than the previous year.

At the 27th edition of EMITT, 95 countries will be represented, and among the expected topics are economy, destination marketing, trends in the sector, medical tourism.
