Wineries in northern regions of Bulgaria open their doors to visitors on February 10

Wineries in the Western and Central Danube Plain open their doors to visitors for the first time on February 10, Saturday.

We hope that the wine tour will become an annual event, Emi Marinova, owner of a family boutique winery, who is one of the organizers, told BTA. The 20 wineries are part of the 2023 Wine Map of the Western and Central Danube Plain. It also includes the Institute of Viticulture and Winemaking in Pleven. 

"We are doing the initiative in the weekend so that more wine connoisseurs can visit us and learn more about wine production, about local and international wine varieties, and try different types of wine," Marinova adds. The website of the wine map https://danubeplain.com/ provides information about the day of open doors and the possibilities to combine visits to several wineries.
