The Prosecutor's Office and public authorities such as parliament, government, the Commission for Consumer Protection and the Commission on Protection of Competition should launch a major investigation into the three national mobile operators. For the third consecutive year, they are raising prices, justifying it with inflation, the Association for Consumer Protection said in a statement

"Mobile operators are in a monopoly position because the state authorities have allowed unfair clauses in the contracts with the operators. The guilty parties should be investigated", said Peyo Mayorski, Chairman the Association for Consumer Protection. The government and the national assembly must make legislative changes to protect consumers and comply with EU directives. In the European Union, regulators are constantly fining telecoms for unfair clauses. This has never happened in Bulgaria, said Peyo Mayorski.
