Bulgaria welcomes first medical helicopter, weather permitting

On 31 January, weather permitting, the country's first medical helicopter is expected to arrive in Bulgaria. 

The aircraft made its final test flight in Italy with a Bulgarian crew on board on 29 January. A total of 8 helicopters are part of the project. Bulgaria will receive two more helicopters from the Italian manufacturer in 2024, and the remaining five in 2025 and 2026, Transport Minister Georgi Gvozdeykov told Bulgarian National Radio.
