Weather conditions are unsuitable for tourism in the upper reaches of the mountains, the Bulgarian Red Cross Mountain Rescue Service has announced. There will be wind, low clouds and snow. There was a strong wind in the upper reaches of the mountains in the past few days, mountain rescuers say, forming big drifts.

For today, the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology has declared a yellow weather alert in 13 regions - for a strong Northwesterly wind with an average speed of 14-19 metres per second, reaching 21-24 metres per second in some parts.
