"Perhaps he was busy. I don't know the President's schedule", GERB leader Boyko Borisov said with regard to President Rumen Radev's absence from the oath-taking ceremony for the newly-elected Constitutional Court judges. In his words, Desislava Atanasova and Borislav Belazelkov were elected in a transparent procedure, while in a similar situation the head of state makes a unilateral decision – "without hearings, without absolutely anything."

The Chairman of the Parliamentary Group of the Movement for Rights and Freedoms (DPS), Delyan Peevski, stated that the absence of the President does not matter: "He is just a guest", said Delyan Peevski.

‘’The decision of the President to miss the oath-taking ceremony at the Constitutional Court is good'', said Kornelia Ninova, Chairperson of the parliamentary group of BSP for Bulgaria and leader of the Bulgarian Socialist Party. ‘’ We called on President Radev not to attend the ceremony and he took our request into account’’, added Kornelia Ninova.

"Bulgaria is no longer a state committed to the rule of law, and there is no Constitutional Court", said Kostadin Kostadinov, leader of Vazrazhdane. He also stated that his party has stop trusting the country’s judicial system and concluded that GERB, DPS, and We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria have buried the Bulgarian law and the Bulgarian Constitution.
