Weather forecast for 24 January

Persistent Winter Chill: Freezing Mornings and Sunlit Days Continue

Wednesday will be a cold day in Bulgaria, with minimum temperatures between minus 7 and minus 2°C, reaching minus 3°C in Sofia. Despite the cold start, sunny skies will prevail, with maximum temperatures between 3 and 8°C, reaching 3°C in the capital.

A moderate northwesterly wind is expected along the Black Sea coast, with morning clouds clearing and sunshine. Coastal air temperatures will be 5-7°C, and sea temperatures will remain at 7-8°C, with a sea swell of 2.

In the mountains, sunny conditions are forecast with strong northwesterly winds. Temperatures at 1,200 metres will be around 3°C, while at 2,000 metres they will drop to minus 4°C.


Thursday will see the passage of an atmospheric disturbance, bringing moderate to strong northwest winds. The sky will be predominantly cloudy from west to east, though minimal to no precipitation is expected.
