Weather forecast for 18 January

Cloudy and warm with showers

Rain and cold temperatures on Thursday morning will lead to icing and a yellow code in Northwest Bulgaria. Minimum temperatures will be between minus 1 and 4°C, 1°C in Sofia. During the day it will be cloudy with occasional showers. There will be fog in the western parts of the country. Maximum temperatures will be between 5 and 7°C in western Bulgaria, up to 15-16°C in the east and around 13°C in the capital.

It will be cloudy along the southern Black Sea coast, where rain is possible. Air temperatures will be between 12 and 16°C. The water temperature will be 7-8°C. The sea swell will be 1-2.

Over the mountains it will be cloudy and windy.  At altitudes above 1,700 metres there will be snow, and at altitudes below this limit there will be rain showers. Temperatures will reach 7°C at 1,200 m and 4°C at 2,000 m. 

On Friday it will remain warm with highs between 12 and 17°C, lows between 3 and 8°C. It will be cloudy with occasional showers.
