Bulgaria and Romania are working actively for the construction of a second bridge over the Danube between Ruse, Bulgaria and Giurgiu, Romania, Deputy Minister of Transport Dimitar Nedyalkov announced in connection with the regional conference on the project Europe in the Balkans: Common Future, organized by the Bulgarian news agency BTA. The European Commission is expected to make a decision, by the end of January, whether it approves the financing of the feasibility studies.

“The second bridge at Ruse and Giurgiu is of paramount importance for improving North-South transport connectivity, which makes it one of the important projects for Bulgaria and Romania, but also for the whole of Europe,” Deputy Minister Nedyalkov said.
