The Bulgarian government approved a new draft law on the Bulgarian National Bank (BNB). It aims at securing the legal integration of BNB into the Eurosystem upon the introduction of the euro in the country. The draft law settles the status of the euro as a currency and determines the design of the national side of euro coins, the issue, withdrawal, exchange and reproduction of euro banknotes and coins.
