Yasen Petrov becomes head coach of Chinese football team Qingdao Hainyu

The former coach of Bulgaria's national football team Yasen Petrov was officially introduced as the coach of the Chinese team Qingdao Hainiu.

The team plays in the Chinese Super League, finishing 13th in the standings last campaign. Petrov succeeds Spaniard Antonio Gómez in the position. The Chinese championship will start in the spring and end in November.

Yasen Petrov is returning to the coaching profession after a break of a year and a half. He last led the Bulgarian national team in 2021 and 2022.
