In alphabetical order, standing up and declaring "for", "against" or "abstaining", the MPs adopted the amendments to the Constitution during the third final reading. A total of 237 MPs participated in the vote. 165 MPs from GERB-SDS, "We Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria" (PP-DB) and the Movement for Rights and Freedoms voted “for”. 71 MPs from the BSP, "Vazrazhdane" and "ITN" voted "against". MP Boyko Rashkov from PP-DB abstained. The announcement of the results was followed by applause and a standing ovation in the plenary hall.

Before that, the leader of "Vazrazhdane", Kostadin Kostadinov, came out with a statement about the removal of the Monument to the Soviet Army and the government of the country. Because of the "extremely ugly language" used, he was reprimanded by the speaker of the parliament. PP-DB also came out with a statement against the behavior of "Vazrazhdane" in the parliament.
