Weather forecast for 16 December

Rain and cloud with temperatures around freezing

Saturday will be cloudy and rainy. The precipitation will stop around noon in the north and continue in the south, but will decrease by the evening. Snow cover will become thicker. Blizzard and drizzle conditions are likely along mountain passes and in eastern areas. Minimum temperatures will be between 0 and 5°C, with 0°C in Sofia. Daytime temperatures are not going to change much.

Clouds and rain are expected along the Black Sea coast, in the north the precipitation will stop by midday. Air temperatures will reach 3-6°C. Sea temperatures will be 9-11°C. The sea swell will be 3-4.

Over the mountains it will be cloudy with snow showers and northeast winds, which will be moderate to strong. Temperatures will be minus 2°C at 1,200 m and minus 5°C at 2,000 m.

On Sunday morning the precipitation will stop everywhere, the clouds will break up and decrease. During the day it will be mostly sunny. Lows will be between minus 7°C and minus 8°C and highs between 2°C and 7°C. Monday will also be mostly sunny.
