Romania's and Bulgaria's accession to Schengen will not be subjected to a vote during the Justice and Home Affairs Council on December 4 and 5. This was reported by Romanian media, citing political sources, said BGNES. The accession of the two countries to the Schengen Area is on the agenda of the Justice and Home Affairs Council on December 4 and 5.

However, there will be no vote, given that the Netherlands, where elections have just been held, has not given its consent for Bulgaria’s accession, which is bundled with Romania. According to the same sources, the Bucharest authorities will try to arrange an extraordinary Justice and Home Affairs Council after mid-December.
