Weather forecast for 28 November

Winter weather warms up

Overnight, clouds will increase and thicken from the west. Snow will fall in parts of the west by the morning. Fog will develop in the lowlands and valleys. Minimum temperatures will be between minus 4 and minus 1 degrees Celsius, around minus 3 degrees Celsius in Sofia. On Tuesday it will be mostly cloudy with rain and snow showers in western Bulgaria. 

South-south-westerly winds will be moderate to strong and at times gusty in the eastern part of the country and in some places to the north of the mountains. The wind will bring warm air, raising daytime temperatures, with highs of 3°-4°C in plains and valleys and 13°-14°C in southeastern Bulgaria and the central pre-Balkans. Sofia's highest temperature will be 5°C.

Clouds and snow showers are forecast over the mountains. Snowfall will be more frequent in south-western Bulgaria. Strong winds from south-southwest will increase to gale force by the end of the day. Maximum temperatures will be around 5°C at 1,200 m and around minus 2°C at 2,000 m.

Over the Black Sea it will be mostly cloudy and windy. Strong winds will blow from south-southwest. Rain will fall mainly in the afternoon. Temperatures will rise, reaching a maximum of 11°-13°C. The sea swell will increase to 3-4, reaching 5 in the evening north of Cape Kaliakra.
