I have voted by machine since the voting machines were introduced. I think this is the best vote because it is the most protected, Vice President Iliana Iotova said this after voting in the second round of the local elections in Sofia.

When asked how she would comment on the resignation of the head of the State Agency for National Security (SANS) demanded by the Prime Minister, she answered: "This issue is to be considered. I am sure of one thing - the issue is not resolved with statements on the eve of the elections, nor on election day."
Regarding the suspension of machine voting in the first election round, due to the threat of manipulations, Iotova added: "There are still many unknowns. We do not know what the results of the inspection of the Minister of e-Government and his deputy are. Where is this flash drive and what is on it," BTA reports her words.
