Kiril Petkov
Kiril Petkov, co-leader of the ruling coalition "We Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria" (PP-DB), said that it was important for people to vote to "minimise the seriousness of electoral fraud". Petkov also called on "people to vote like machines".

Hristo Ivanov, leader of Democratic Bulgaria
PP-DB's other co-leader, Hristo Ivanov, said that despite "irresponsible attempts to discredit the electoral process, voters should go out and vote".

Finance Minister Assen Vassilev
Finance Minister Assen Vassilev was unable to vote in the local elections in Haskovo because he had been removed from the electoral list for not having been a legal resident for six months.

GERB leader Boyko Borissov
"The results of the local elections should not shake the government, because Bulgaria will fall back into timelessness," said GERB leader Boyko Borissov.

Kostadin Kostadinov, leader of the Vazrazhdane party, voted in Varna and announced that he expected the resignation of the government and an early parliamentary vote.

BSP leader Kornelia Ninova
