The Lukoil-Neftohim refinery in Burgas, which is the main supplier of fuel on the Bulgarian market, must continue to operate at maximum capacity and with non-Russian oil. This is what Minister of Economy Bogdan Bogdanov has told BNR.
The minister recalled that Bulgaria has a derogation for Russian oil, but with a certain deadline. A schedule has already been prepared and the state will strictly monitor the transition to non-Russian oil and maintaining the required production volumes to avoid reduced refinery output and layoffs.
"If Lukoil Neftohim does not keep the commitments, the state can intervene," Minister Bogdanov pointed out.
