An exhibition of works from the XII International Biennial "Masters of Caricature" opened at the Regional Ethnographic Museum in Plovdiv. The exposition of some of the most exquisite artworks of the participants of the "Masters of Caricature" can be viewed until the end of October. The theme of the exhibition this year is "Magic in Time and Space". It focuses on the supernatural and the magical that has intrigued the human race since antiquity, the organisers say.

For the current edition of the biennale, 232 cartoons have been submitted by 106 artists. They represent 37 countries from across the five continents. According to the regulations, the jury nominates 20 artists. Five of them were honoured with the title of "Master of Caricature" and the rest received a diploma. In addition to the prize-winning works, the exhibition also features other cartoon works by the other participants. The exhibition at the Ethnographic Museum in Plovdiv presents the works that meet the high standards of the jury of the competition, say the organizers.
