The International Biennale of Glass opens today under the slogan "Together". This is one of the largest art events in Bulgaria. Authors from 48 countries will exhibit their works in three galleries in Sofia - "Kvadrat 500", "Sredets" and "UniArt".

Italian master Lucio Bubacco and jeweler Caterina Zucchi, who are representatives of the famous Murano school of glass art, will show a sculpture reminiscent of the extravagant Rococo, the organizers say.

Czech glass manufacturer Bomma will introduce visitors to artists who won awards at the annual Glass Cutting World Cup (GCWC) in the Czech town of Světlá nad Sázavou.

Another highlight of the forum will be the works of Dutch artists, selected by Han de Kluijver, curator and member of the international jury.
