The village of Malinovo hosts the traditional Baklava Festival

The village of Malinovo, Lovech region, brings together guests from all over the country for the traditional Baklava Festival. Visitors will be able to try different types of the delicious pastry, made under authentic local recipes. Baklava is a traditional dessert in Malinovo and is part of every festive meal. The competition exhibition features nearly 25 different types of baklava made by local culinary experts. Winners will be chosen in the categories "Most delicious baklava", "Most beautiful baklava", "Youngest baklava maker", etc, the BNR’s correspondent in Lovech Plamen Hristov reported.

"This celebration aims to unite people, because there are two ethnic groups in the village- Turks and Bulgarians. Thus, we show that there are no differences between us, we celebrate all holidays together," said Dobrina Andreeva, secretary of the local community center "Awakening-1927", which is a co-organizer of the event.
