US state of Utah announces September 22 as Friendship Day with Bulgaria

Utah Governor Spencer J. Cox announced the Bulgarian Independence Day (September 22) as the Friendship Day between Bulgaria and the American state, Bulgaria's foreign ministry announced. 

This act is dedicated to the 120th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and the United States, as well as to the high social contribution of the Bulgarians who chose Utah as their home. 

"I welcome and thank Utah Governor Spencer J. Cox for the initiative. It is an expression of the good cooperation and friendship that we have been building with the USA for years and the values and principles that we share and unite us", said Deputy Prime Minister Mariya Gabriel.
