The Festival of Bulgarian Culture and Art opens today in the yard of the Zichy palace in Bratislava, Slovakia with a concert by Diana Express.

The festival is organized by the Bulgarian Cultural Institute in Bratislava, and has a history going back to 2016. The event is under the patronage of Bulgaria’s ambassador to Slovakia Vassil Petkov, and is co-financed by the Minority Culture Fund in Slovakia. The festival kicks off at 6.30 PM local time.

Diana Express have left their mark on rock music in Bulgaria since the early 1970s. One of the bands’ 1980s hits is Legacy – the music and the arrangement is by the band’s founder Mitko Shterev, the lyrics are by Petar Vassilev.
