“The excellent relations, at the highest political level, have helped Bulgaria and Greece turn into a strategic axis of stability in the Balkans, contributing to the sustainable development and prosperity of the entire region. The two countries should do their best to benefit from their strategic partnership to the economic maximum,” said President Rumen Radev after visiting the 87th edition of the Thessaloniki International Fair.

Rumen Radev and Greek President Katerina Sakellaropoulou visited the Bulgarian pavilion where around 60 Bulgarian companies operating in various spheres are presented. The Bulgarian President stated that Bulgaria’s participation in the prestigious Thessaloniki fair as an honored country comes as recognition of the country’s increased economic and scientific potential. Rumen Radev stated further that beginning the construction of the multimodal transport corridor between the Aegean and the Black Sea, and its extension to the Romanian port of Constanta is of strategic importance
