Mariya Gabriel leads the Bulgarian delegation at the Three Seas Initiative Summit in Bucharest

Bulgaria’s Deputy Premier and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mariya Gabriel will lead the Bulgarian delegation at the 8th Summit of the Three Seas Initiative on September 6 and 7 in Bucharest, Romania, the government press service said. The leaders of the 12 participating countries are to discuss key issues related to opportunities for boosting economic development, enhancing cooperation, strengthening security in the region, improving regional connectivity and mobilizing the necessary investments for important infrastructure projects. A declaration on the common objectives and priorities will be also adopted.

The Three Seas Initiative is a politically inspired initiative that brings together 12 EU Member States between the Baltic, Black and Adriatic Seas - Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Austria, Croatia, Romania and Bulgaria.
