The Representation of the European Commission in Bulgaria launches today an information campaign on the adoption of the euro, Boyko Blagoev, Head of Communications of the European Commission Representation in Bulgaria, said for public service TV BNT. In his words, the campaign aims to answer the question how the transition to the single currency will take place and what will happen with our money.

"There are myths and misinformation about the euro and the aim of our campaign is to combat these false statements", said Boyko Blagoev. He pointed out that there will be no dramatic increase in prices after the adoption of the euro and referred to Croatia, where there were isolated cases of price increases, but the authorities quickly dealt with inflation.

Boyko Blagoev advised Bulgarians to inform themselves from reliable sources.
