Weather forecast: September begins with sun and brief showers

During the night the weather over most of the country will be clear, with cumulus clouds mostly over the Southern regions, and brief showers and thunder in some parts. There will be a light Westerly wind.

Tomorrow, 1 September, the weather will be predominantly sunny with cumulus clouds around midday and in the afternoon. In isolated areas, in the mountains and the Eastern regions, there will be brief showers with thunder. There will be a light to moderate wind from the northwest. Maximum temperatures 27-32° C., for Sofia around 28° C.

Over the Black Sea coast the weather will be predominantly sunny, with more significant clouds in the morning over the Southern portion, and in the evening over the Northern portion of the coastline, and there will be brief showers and thunder in some parts. There will be a light to moderate wind from the Northwest, in the afternoon – from the Southeast. Maximum temperatures 28-31° C., temperature of the sea water 26-28° C., sea state 1-2.

Over the mountains the weather will be predominantly sunny, with cumulus clouds in the afternoon and brief showers with thunder in some parts. There will be a moderate Northwesterly wind. Maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 m. 22° C., at 2,000 m. around 14° C.
