Weather forecast: Temperatures drop slightly, heavy rain in seven regions

During the night there will be brief showers in the Eastern half of the country which will stop by morning. In the West the weather will be predominantly clear. There will be a light wind from the Southwest.

Tomorrow, 31 August, the weather will be predominantly sunny with a temporary increase of cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds. In the afternoon, mostly in the mountain regions and Ludogorie, there will be brief, temporarily intensive rain and thunder, and conditions for hail. There will be a moderate wind from the West-Northwest. Maximum temperatures 27-32° C., for Sofia around 27° C. During the night the rain will continue in the Eastern part of the country, there will be thunder.

Over the Black Sea coast the weather will be predominantly sunny in the morning. After midday cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds will develop, and by evening and during the night there will be rain and thunder in many parts. There will be a light to moderate Westerly wind. Maximum temperatures 28-31° C., temperature of the sea water 26-28° C., sea state 2-3.

Over the mountains there will be changeable, mostly considerable cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds. There will be brief showers and thunder in many parts, and conditions for hail. The rain and thunder will be significant in the region of the Central Balkan Range and Mount Sredna Gora. There will be a light to moderate Westerly wind. Maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 m. around 21° C., at 2,000 m. around 14° C.
