80 illegal migrants detained at Trakia highway

80 illegal migrants crammed into a TIR truck have been discovered by the police on the Trakia highway near the town of Pazardzhik. The truck has a Turkish registration, and the driver, a 34-year-old Serbian citizen, has been detained. The migrants self-identified as refugees from Afghanistan.

Another 29 migrants, also from Afghanistan, aged between 18 and 25, were found this morning near the village of Karnare, in a bus driven by a Bulgarian citizen.
