Three days, three nights, on three stages for the third year in a row – this is Open Buzludzha 2023.
From August 10 to 13, the festival with a cause will offer a different experience with lots of nature, music and culture. The cause is the preservation and opening of the Buzludzha monument as a place for art, culture and history. It is not politically bound and does not aim at full restoration of the monument, but rather at its conservation and reuse for educational and tourist purposes.
The three scenes are named the Main, Monumental and Forest stage.
The main stage on the Buzludzha Lodge lawn will offer rock, indie, hip-hop and RnB with four bands performing each night. The headliners are Ostava, Kerana and the Cosmonauts and SO CALLED CREW.
On the Monumental stage in front of the emblematic monument from the time of Socialism, electro, techno and house music will be performed. This year, the Monumental Stage is growing, and in addition to local DJs, there will be five international artists as guests.
The Forest Stage will open at 10 pm and will entertain visitors until the morning.
All three nights the monument will be illuminated by the first video 3D mapping of Buzludzha.
During the day, there will be a colorful program of activities to satisfy every mood: lectures, experiences, sports, workshops, exhibitions, cinema and a children's program.
