Tourists at the Bulgarian Black Sea coast now have the opportunity to reserve an umbrella and sunbed on the beach through the My spot application, which can be downloaded to any mobile phone.

Online booking and payment can be done for a selected day, beach, or a spot, Zornitsa Yordanova from the company that developed the online platform says. Umbrellas will be marked with signs indicating which of them are occupied.

So far, about 30 beaches have joined the initiative - among them those in Burgas, Sozopol, Sunny Beach and Nessebar. It is expected that in the next week, the number of beaches where umbrellas and sunbeds can be booked online will exceed 50.
