Camellia Todorova presents her Eternal Music Project in Summer Edition

Camellia Todorova performs at Sofia Summer Fest with the summer edition of her Eternal Music project. The concert is tonight in South Park II, Sofia, behind the Earth and People Museum. The programme includes jazz standards, pop, rock, rhythm and blues and soul hits - the music popular with several generations.

The Eternal Music Project is a journey into the history of world music. For this project, the inimitable Camellia Todorova has assembled a team of young talented performers - a trio of backing singers and a quartet of instrumentalists.

In our "Song of the Day" section we will listen to one of Camellia Todorova's golden hits - "Whispered Dreams". The music and arrangement is by Alexander Brazitsov, author of lyrics is Matey Stoyanov. "Whispered Dreams" is a track from the singer's third studio album "Nastroenie" ("Mood"), released in 1994.

The album features all the songs recorded in Communist Bulgaria with the Bulgarian National Radio Big Band under conductor Vili Kazasyan, before the singer defected in 1983.

Whispered Dreams, Camellia Todorova

"There flew by us a fleet of taxis,

They seemed so numb in the chill of the night.

And you can hear the wind that asks us,

"How did you fill this city with so much love?"*
