Bust of Bulgaria's late honorary consul Ignat Kaneff unveiled in Toronto

A bust of the late Honorary Consul of Bulgaria, prominent businessman and philanthropist Ignat Kaneff was solemnly unveiled in Toronto, Canada. 

The ceremony took place in front of the church building in Brampton, Greater Toronto. 
The ceremony was attended by the family of Ignat Kaneff, the board of trustees of the Bulgarian church "Saint Dimitar", many Bulgarians from the area, as well as local Canadians who knew well the prominent Bulgarian. 


In her speech, the Consul General of Bulgaria in Toronto, Velislava Panova, emphasized that although he left Bulgaria at the age of 14, Kanev remained forever a zealous patriot and a strong defender of the Bulgarian nation, who left a lasting mark with his tireless work, numerous donations and unceasing commitments to the Bulgarian community.
