The weather continues hot, practically no rain in the forecast

The night will be clear and almost calm. On Sunday, 16 August the weather will continue sunny and hot, with cumulus clouds developing in the afternoon over the mountain areas in Western Bulgaria where there may be occasional rain and thunder in isolated areas. In Eastern Bulgaria there will be a light Easterly wind in the afternoon. Maximum temperatures 33-38° C., for Sofia around 34° C.

Over the Black Sea coast there will be sun. There will be a light, in the afternoon to moderate wind from the East-Southeast. Maximum temperatures 26-29° C., temperature of the sea water 24-36° c., sea state 2-3.

Over the mountains the weather will be predominantly sunny with cumulus clouds in the afternoon. In Western Bulgaria there may be local showers and thunder. There will be a light, on higher ground to moderate wind from the North. Maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 m. around 28° C., at 2,000 m around 21° C.
