Swimmers from 7 countries to take part in the Port-Burgas swimming marathon

More than 170 swimmers from 7 countries are to take part in Port-Burgas swimming marathon. The event is on 8 July in the waters of Burgas’ Marine Station, and is part of the programme of the World Open Water Swimming Association, WOWSA.

“It is the highest-ranking open waters swimming competition in Bulgaria,” Tsanko Tsankov, who won the swimming marathon in the Strait of Gibraltar in 2022 said for the BNR. There will be two distances for the swimmers – one for amateurs, 1,000 m., and the other for swimmers with experience – 3,000 m. The official opening is at 11 AM, and the start at 11.30 AM.
