Bulgaria’s government has approved a new package of military and military-technical assistance for Ukraine in line with a decision taken by the National Assembly on December 9, 2022, the government information service announced. The approved list is comparable in volume to the military aid from the first package granted by the caretaker cabinet, the statement further reads.

Ukraine’s Minister of Defence Oleksii Reznikov tweeted that he had spoken on the phone with his Bulgarian counterpart Todor Tagarev. “I had a very productive call with my Bulgarian colleague, Minister of Defense Todor Tagarev. We discussed prospects for defense cooperation between Ukraine and Bulgaria as well as staring of new projects in the medical field. We compared notes before the NATO Summit in Vilnius. I am grateful to Bulgaria for supporting Ukraine”, Oleksii Reznikov wrote further.
