Police officers seconded from the interior of the country will help ensure a safe and secure summer along the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, reported chief commissar Kaloyan Kaloyanov, director of the Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Burgas. According to him, the forecasts are for at least 4.5 million registrations of tourists - of them 600,000 from Romania and 150,000 from Great Britain.

The most common crimes at the seaside are theft and disorderly conduct after the use of alcohol, the senior commissioner also said. He pointed out that almost no violations were registered in the hotels where refugees from the war in Ukraine were accommodated.

The main criminal contingent are Bulgarian citizens coming from other cities of the country.
