The forecast for the development of the tourist season in this country is extremely positive, said Minister of Tourism Zaritsa Dinkova in Varna.

As regards the destruction of the Nova Kakhovka dam in Ukraine, she reiterated expert opinions that there is no danger to the tourist season in Bulgaria. The water in the Black Sea aquatoria is not polluted, and the Danube is a natural filter and can pump possible pollutants out.

Minister Dinkova is paying a visit to Varna and the Nikola Vaptsarov naval academy to inspect how the water of the Black Sea is being monitored after the destruction of the dam in Ukraine. Zaritsa Dinkova denied allegations that the resorts along Bulgaria’s Black Sea coastline are standing empty, and said there was no drop in the number of bookings.
