Patriarch Neophyte receives award for his vivid presence in the spiritual life of the nation

On the occasion of the 75th birthday of the Bulgarian Patriarch Neophyte, Vice President Iliana Iotova awarded him a Prof. Marko Semov award for his vivid presence in the spiritual life of the nation. 

The award was instituted in 2007 by the Union of Bulgarian Journalists, the Union of Bulgarian Writers, Apriltsi municipality and the Prof. Marko Semov foundations, and has so far been awarded to poet Nedyalko Yordanov, Gergina Toncheva, founder of the National Secondary School for Ancient Languages and Cultures, film director academician Lyudmil Staykov, the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences etc.
