From June 16 to 18th, the International Lavender Festival will be held in Chirpan, under the auspices of the Ministry of Tourism. Especially for the event, the largest traveling initiative in Bulgaria "Summer Theater", which won the prize for performing arts with a cause at the "ArtAction" awards, is coming to Chirpan.

Among the initiatives dedicated to lavender is a ritual harvesting, which will take place in the afternoon hours of the first day. The program will continue with a parade of folk ensembles, community center groups and children's ensembles that preserve the traditions of Chirpan. The official opening is in the evening, at 7:30 p.m. on Saedinenie Square with a concert by the Stara Zagora State Opera, based on music by Queen.
