The US is no position to choose which Bulgarian parties are in power. We just want a regular government formed as soon as possible so that it could work with us on the policies we care about, the Special Envoy and Coordinator for the U.S. Department of State's Global Engagement Center, James Rubin, has told bTV. He defined claims that the USA created the composition of the future Bulgarian government as absolute nonsense.

"There are several countries in the Balkans that are vulnerable to Russian disinformation including Montenegro, Serbia, North Macedonia and Bulgaria. For Russia, the information space is a battlefield and this is a form of state policy. They say untrue things to infiltrate our societies as they hope to undermine support for the government of Ukraine, for example," the diplomat added.
