Angel Hristov-Gele, wanted by Interpol with a red notice - known as one of the "Galevi Brothers" from Dupnitsa - has died of a heart attack in Bulgaria, Nova TV and BTV reported, citing their sources. He and Plamen Galev fled Bulgaria in 2012 after being convicted of leading and participating in an organized crime group.

It is assumed that the 54-year-old man returned home a few days ago and settled in his mansion in Resilovo, where he had a heart attack. It is not clear how he crossed the border without being arrested.

Angel Hristov-Gele's funeral was supposed to take place today at noon in his native Dupnitsa, but it was stopped due to an investigation into how he entered the country, BNT reported.
