The prosecutor's office is checking reports against prime minister-designate Mariya Gabriel

Shortly before the meeting of President Rumen Radev with candidate Prime Minister of GERB Mariya Gabriel, the state prosecution announced that it was starting investigations against her and the leader of GERB Boyko Borisov. 

The reports filed by a civil association are about corruption and abuse of power. 

The announcement of the prosecutor's office also states that personal inspections will be carried out by prosecutors at the Supreme Cassation Prosecutor's Office.

 According to the law, depending on the specifics of the cases, all the necessary actions will be taken to clarify the statements made, including the request for information from the Anti-Corruption Commission, the National Tax Service, the National Insurance Agency, the Ministry of the Interior, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, Ministries and Departments.
