Weather forecast for 20 May

Lots of sun before noon, warming up

It will be mostly sunny on Saturday, but cumulus and cumulus-rain clouds will develop in the afternoon, followed by brief showers and thunderstorms in some areas. Maximum temperatures will be between 21°C and 26°C, in Sofia around 21°C. 

Sunny weather will also prevail over the Black Sea coast, with temporary increases in cloudiness and precipitation in some places, mainly in the southern part of the coast. Maximum temperatures will be 18-22°C, and sea water temperatures will reach 15-16°C. 

Over the mountains it will be mostly sunny. Clouds will form in the afternoon and rain may fall in some places. Maximum temperature at 1200 m - about 14°C, at 2000 m - about 7°C. 

On Sunday and Monday the weather will remain unchanged. In the afternoon, short showers are expected in places, mainly in southern Bulgaria and in the mountains. On Sunday it will rain in the northwestern regions, as well. 

In the Balkans, sunny weather will prevail, but cumulus clouds will develop in the afternoon and it will rain and thunder in places. It will be 25°C in Bucharest, 24°C in Athens, 21°C in Belgrade and 20°C in Istanbul.
